Ok, so you may be shy about aswering this question so this is mine..
What is a PO? Most likely, when you hear Professional Organizer, you think of the hoarding shows on TV which are extreme cases and there are actually many who fall into this category. However, the majority of people who use and benefit from a Professional Organizer (PO) are you and me. Yes, even me. We as PO’s help you get focused and de-cluttered, organized, transfer our organizational skills, and create systems to help from falling back into old habits that would take you full circle. As POs, we can ensure you get the most profit for your discarded sell items and give you the best of our skills with time management giving you the most of your organizational dollars.
Why hire me as your PO? Do you have a specialist for taxes, financial/retirement accounts, change the oil in your car, clean your house, work on your HVAC or cut your grass? These are just examples to show that hiring a Professional Organizer is no different in that this is just another area in your life that either you can’t or don’t have time to do on your own. As a PO, I’m a trained, skilled specialist who sets you up to run your home efficiently through a well-defined organizational system and an effective time management system, if either/or is not already in place.
These are just a few things I hear when I tell people that I’m a Professional Organizer: • “Oh, you wouldn’t want to come to my house. It’s probably the worst you’ll ever see.”
o I say, “Not at all. We all have challenges we face to be organized. Mine is paper. I work hard to handle that beast.”
• “I’ve never been able to be organized or that it applies to someone in your household.”
o I say, “I can work with that. It just takes listening and understanding your lifestyle and working within that framework to intercede in the chaos and bring it to order. I‘m Making Life Come Together, one client at a time. Remember, that not everyone has the same skill sets. Organizational skills can be taught. It’s not always a natural skill but no one is a lost cause.”
• “So, I have to throw everything away, right?”
o I say, “No, but I help you have the right forethought to determine what your most important items are, what you would like other people to enjoy when you are not, what you deem is not worthy to take up precious space. No one has to give up anything but you have to realize that all of your belongings contribute to the chaos in your home.”
If you are interested in hiring a professional organizer, Want It Organized would be honored to serve.
